Dafo Vehicle is looking for a Head of Sales Services

Dafo Vehicle is a fast-growing company. The operations of Dafo Vehicle are focused producing and and selling fire detection and suppression systems for heavy-duty vehicle applications. We have three main business areas:

  • Integration – Integration of fire protection systems into the OEM production line
  • Retrofitting – Fire extinguishing systems installed at the end customer
  • Service and maintenance

Under the current strategy, the company is primarily active in four business areas: Bus/Coach, Mining & Construction, Ports and Forestry & Agriculture.

Dafo Vehicle presently has service operations in 35 countries and more than 100 colleagues located around the world. The headquarters is situated in the Stockholm Metropolitan Area, and the main production unit is two hours southwest of Stockholm. The business has a global sales & service presence and three production facilities in Finland, Asia, and the US. Dafo Vehicle has delivered high profitability over the past several years and is now well-positioned to take advantage of a growing global market within many of its core segments, as well as interesting possibilities for the acquisition of distributors.

Our goal is to greatly increase the service business through a wider scope, more technicians and new business models and concepts. We are currently looking for a new Head of Sales Services who can provide the new ideas required. The position is preferably to be located somewhere in Central Europe.

Key performance areas

As Head of Sales Services you will immediately initiate strategy work in order to redefine the service business and widen the scope. Your goal will be to triple sales within three years.

Your main responsibilities include:

– Drive and facilitate business activities promoting profitable growth within Service & Installation and Training, including expansion of our Installation and Operation services offering

– Drive continuous improvements in Customer Service centered around optimum condition and deployment of our Service equipment, and 24/7 availability

– Development and expansion of our Service Contract offering including Customer’s lifecycle cost management

– Lead a team of Spare Parts and Service and Training personnel, focusing on proactivity which will lead to increased revenue.

The position involves frequent travel throughout the world, mostly Europe with approximately 80-100 travel days per year. You will report to Manager Customer Success. You will be part of the Sales & Marketing Management Team. You will have profit and loss responsibility for the Business Line Service, Installation and Training.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with solid experience from service and aftermarket work in international operations. You are customer and business-oriented and have the ability to see and analyze the customers’ needs. Given that you will be leading an organization that is active in some 20 countries, strong leadership abilities are required: you are communicative and proficient at creating enthusiasm among co-workers. You should also have the ability to work both strategically and operationally. Good knowledge of English is a must for this position, while knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
