When you need a fluorine-free alternative

The new Forrex EVO is the fluorine-free alternative for Dafo Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems. In advance of the forthcoming restrictions, Dafo Vehicle undertook a 12-month R&D programme to develop its Forrex agent, removing the small percentage of fluorine in its formula and producing a fluorine-free suppression agent.

The new suppression agent effectively suppresses and cools down all areas and creates a protective layer that efficiently clings to all surfaces and prevents reignition. Forrex EVO is environmentally friendly. After release, the engine space just needs to be rinsed with water. Forrex EVO is non-aggressive and does not harm materials and components.

The benefits of Forrex EVO

Proprietary blend - The Forrex EVO is Dafo Vehicle's own proprietary blend. The included surfactants improve the fluidity and fire-extinguishing performance of Forrex.

Effective Flame Knockdown - Forrex EVO is discharged through overlapping spray fields, coating all engine areas and cutting off the fuel's oxygen supply.

High penetration capability - Forrex EVO spray droplets are slightly coarse but small enough to create an area of liquid film cooling layer that absorbs the radiant heat. Forrex is also extremely effective at following the outline of the engine components in the risk area to ensure it reaches every part where the fire may be. This is particularly important for flammable liquid fires.

Excellent cooling - Forrex EVO effectively reduces the temperature on superheated surfaces below the ignition points of any flammable liquid.

Prevents reignition – increased heat absorption with the ability to cling on
3-dimensional surfaces and exclude oxygen.

Clean up after discharge – In discharge, it is easy to clean off with water.

Freeze protection down to -40° C

Environmentally friendly - 100% fluorine free

Non-hazardous - No risk for personnel during discharge

Resistant to ageing
